The open plan Luxury cottages were built in 2005 and after winning several Queensland Tourism  accommodation industry awards are recognised by the Industry as among the "best of the best". You have the opportunity to own these prestige B & B cottages just one hour out of Brisbane. The owners have targeted the luxury end of the short stay "Couples only" market. There is potential (subject to Council approval) to build 2 more cottages (sewerage system infrastructure in place) or you may prefer, as current owners do, the more leisurely lifestyle that just the 3 cottages afford.
The  5 Star accommodation cottages occupy a one hectare site which was disected from an adjoining farm before new zoning now in place requires  minimum 50 & 100 acre blocks. This new zoning locks in the delightful rural views towards the Scenic Rim and the Great Dividing Range. This now unique site offers City & overseas guests all of the advantages of a peaceful countryside  "farm stay" without the owners having the upkeep of a large holding
The cottage interiors are virtually identical, the only difference is that one, which offers wheelchair access has a slightly larger bathroom area.
Entrance is from the front Verandah, and with careful planting of Aussie bush & shrubs, the Verandahs are private, and all enjoy the fabulous open outlook.
The interiors are
"open plan", a thoughtful design has the huge 2 person theraputic spa adjacent to the Queen bed and bathroom which is located behind the fully equipped Kitchen. The minimalistic timber blinds compliment the timber floors & ceilings. The natural  tasmanian oak furniture and leather lounges contribute to the welcoming warmth.  With wood fires for cosy winter nights and reverse cycle airconditioning, plasma flat screen TV and DVD which can be viewed both from the bed or the Lounge, the "Scenic Rim View Cottages" are indeed the perfect destination for busy guests to reflect, retreat, relax & rewind.  A "spoil yourself"
destination that is not too far away, is different, and is
true 5 Star.
The views from the site are simply stunning! And so different from much of the other short stay accommodation venues that are within easy access from both the Gold Coast and Brisbane. Guests can just "chill out" , or keep themselves  busy with day trips to Galleries, Wineries, Country Towns & Pubs.
Just a leisurely stroll to the pool, or for the more energetic, a 1 minute bike ride (2 bikes are at each cottage). There are full kitchen facilities including a wine 'frig, for guests who wish to self cater. The current owners who built the cottages offer "silver service meals" brought to their guests dining room table.  Current tariffs include full cooked breakfasts but it is of course a new owners decision to operate as now, or opt for day before delivered breakfast baskets for your guests to self prepare whenever it suits them.
Similarly, dinner & bar-b-que packs for self catering are an alternative for other meals.

The main residence features a commercial grade Kitchen, Excellent open plan Living area with the same views that the cottages enjoy, 3 bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, laundry and an office which has an outside entry from the verandah.
There is a Double garage & machinery shed and the  Inventory includes a
ride on mower for the easy upkeep of the one hectare site.
The Fassifern Valley is a fruit and vege growing area, yet is only 30 minutes drive from the booming growth City of Ipswich. The business can easily be run by one person should one partner wish to work "outside".  Alternately may suit a "work from home"
Accountant, Consultant, IT person or writer.
I mention this only because there is not enough work with the 3 cottages to keep 2 active persons busy. Even with food preparation.
One of the nice things that adds to the peaceful ambiance is that guests park their cars under cover just past the entrance to the property (to the right of the photo below). An electronic warning signal alerts the Managers who greet their guests in a silent battery powered golf buggy and ferry guests & luggage past the residence & pool (above right) and  to their cottage. There are no cars to interrupt the peace & quiet.
Guests have permission to Canoe on an adjoining property's Dam, and take a bushwalk via a mown track through the property where they are likely to see kangaroos & native bird & wildlife as well as the odd farm animals. Local bike rides on the quiet roads are also popular with guests.  There are also interesting quick trips to small neighbouring towns . . . . pubs to visit, museums & galleries to browse through and country cafe's for coffee.
Bookings are excellent for weekends with the main "package" sold as
"A weekend affair" . . . . $690 per couple includes breakfast on 2 days, a candlelit dinner for two on one evening, complimentary champagne and chocolates on arrival. Lunches and the second evening meal, wine, picnic hampers etc are available as extras if required.
This is very much a lifestyle business. It will be up to new owners and dependent on their other commitments & interests whether they wish to expand the business and take it to its maximum earning potential.  Either way, you will enjoy a great lifestyle in fabulous surroundings and being 5 star accommodation, your clientele is unlikely to cause you too much heartache.  In the main, nice people, who are very appreciative of what they are experiencing.
